Dayton Children's has thousands of employees who come to work every day to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families. There are three employees that are unlike the rest... they have fur and four paws! Millie, Peppermint, and Addie are full-time facility dogs who work alongside our Child Life team to provide individualized interventions that best meet a child's needs. They’ve been known to walk beside patients following a life-altering surgery or traumatic event, snuggle up with patients as they endure potentially painful procedures, serve as a source of comfort and normalcy in an environment that is far from normal, and so much more.
